Under GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act of 2018, regulations safeguard and regulate the use of personal data. The NCSC & APMG Data Breach course addresses methods to prevent data privacy breaches and minimise their impact.

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), effective since 25 May 2018, mandates strict requirements outlined in Articles 33 and 34 concerning personal data breaches, including reporting and notifying data subjects.
