After Prime minister, Boris Johnson’s announcement on Monday, we have been hit with yet another nationwide lockdownWhile it’s crucial that we get this virus back in control so we can get back to ‘normal’ sooner, it’s important to recognise the impact that this lockdown will have on countries mental health.

As a company who have pushed for people to gain a better understanding on mental health, we believe now is more important than ever to support one and other in what looks like will be another tough couple of months.

Here’s some important things to remember during this lockdown

• Suffering from mental health isn’t a sign of weakness, in fact last year alone almost 1 in 3 people had concerns about their mental health. After the tough year that we’ve had it’s completely normal to have suffered a dip in your mental health, and most importantly, that’s not your fault.

• Though this may sound cheesy, this situation won’t last forever. The fact that vaccinations will continue to increase throughout this lockdown mean that the situation will hopefully look a lot more positive when we eventually leave this lockdown.

• You can still support people who may be struggling. Check in on them, listen to what they have to say and don’t treat them any differently because of their struggles!
