Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeships:

Why The AIM Group are Launching our Latest Division in the Education Sector

With the spread of COVID-19 beginning to slow down it feels like the worst is over and there is hope that life can return to normalcy in the next few months. However across the country there are many industries beginning to feel the economic strain of the pandemic and there is no denying this is starting to impact the education sector, in particular the apprenticeship market.

It’s predicted that 6.5million people will be out of work after the full economic effects of COVD-19 take place in this country, so it’s not surprising that the AELPUK COVID Impact Survey finds three-fifths of employers have stopped recruiting apprentices altogether and many more have stopped or postponed new starts.

With many industries slowing down in hiring staff, particularly in one of our stronghold sectors - hospitality - it may seem like an odd time to begin a new venture, however, one thing is certain, no matter where the stones may fall after this is over the education and development of people of all ages will continue to play a crucial role in rebuilding the economy.

At a 5% contribution rate for paying employers this apprenticeship works out to be a very cost effective way for schools to up-skill staff, furthermore, many MATs (Multi-Academy Trusts) have a surplus of money from the apprenticeships levy ready to be spent, and what better way to use it than to develop existing staff by placing them onto a Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship? In turn, this provides individuals with extra knowledge to be able to support our young people more effectively in this uncertain time.

The Teaching Assistant Level 3 Course can be fully taken online, including an online assessment and virtual tutor, ensuring that even with lockdown in place, people can begin to up-skill themselves now, ready for the academic year.
